Preview-Berlin map

Post by benpark »

A serious work in progress. This about 1/3 of the map-it's quite small. Eastern part of the city at left, and Seelow Heights at right edge.

I figure in a year or so, I may have the whole editor down.

Alright, I trashed that one. Too small. I extended the map as far south as Torgau, so some possible competition can enter the picture...

Berlin-these are closer magnification than in game. I still need to clesn up roads and do detail work, then on to the AI stuff and inputting the nightmarish OOB...

Thanks! It's a lot of work to do scenarios. My hat is off to the SSG guys and all the people who have undergone this process.

I have much of the OOB in-a (very)prelim screen with Seelow Heights-don't worry about FOW-much has changed since even this from yesterday...

Note Sturmbtln. "Charlemagne", part of 11 SS Div "Nordland" at top. Chrome? Maybe, but the Soviets have mountains coming at the Germans, so a few notable units have made it into the OOB to give the scenario a little heft.

Some of the names of these units are wild-"1001 Nachts(Nights)"!!?? The "V-Weapons Division"[&:] Needless to say, these are pretty much skeletons.

I'm dying to play this scenario. Could you upload it as a Beta release just as a PBEM? We could all then program our AI, and then when you get round to it you can make the official one (unless you like some other guys' AI). Also the map looks absolutely beautiful. Also, i'm sure them FallschirmJagers (In the last map) were regiments. Have you made this Battle for BiN or BiI? I bet you love being the only one having the battle ...
