There is limit for ac groups divide. I'm not sure how many groups you can divide, but probably you reach this limit so you cant divide any more ac groups.

The total limit of groups that can divide is shared between the PBeM opponents according to another earlier thread.

Edit: Here is the link:

It seems that for scenario 15 the total limit is 18 groups available for division. I'm not sure about the other scenarios. I hope this is being looked into.

So if the IJN divides 18 groups on turn 1 (before the allies can), then there are no more dividing for the REST of the game (assuming the original 18 stay put) ?

I know mathematically it is 18 divides in Scen 15 PBEM. I don't think that who gets how many has ever been established[&:]

I know the 18 limit is also in Scen 16, My PBEM game on this one ran into the limit. We are agreed not to only have 9 each

a) an intended feature for some reason
b) an oversight thinking it would not be used much

Hi, News to me. Hope my training does not mess up the Allied players. I don't divide Japanese except for training.
I don't divide Allies except for loading onto transports.

We had this on another thread a couple of weeks ago.

Mr Frag was looking into it and passed the info up the chain of command, I believe.

I bumped the old thread back up on the support page. If anyone is interested.

It's a design thing. Only so many slots available.

That's what I thought. No problem.

This is something I can live with, now that I know the numerical limitation.
Thanks Mr Frag.[;)]
