Airpoints changing sides

Post by KS_Harp »

I'm playing the campaign game by email, ver. 1.4. It's 1/11/42 and 6 Japanese Kates landed at Singapore, which is controlled still by Alles, after CVL Zuiho got torpedo damage from submarine. They have switched sides, the Allied player can now control them. I would be happy to send the PBEM file if you want it.

I'm also concerned about AKs that are tasked to load air points and then leave port empty, and about not being able to spread valuable air squadrons onto more than 1 AK, and then losing the squadron forever if the AK is sunk by subs, i.e. no rescue of personnel. Are these issues known and are they being dealt with? Please reply.

on this, I have brain farted more than once and didn't make sure the TF is docked before they start loading. If the TF is undocked, it will leave port during the following turn with or without load.

You have to load supplies manually after loading air groups too. If the TF is not told to load supplies, it will undock and go if it has a destination set.

Most times I won't give the TF a destination until it is fully loaded. I load the transports...when they are loaded, I assign an escort and a destination. When a TF comes in empty, a full one is usually waiting to take it's escort and get going.

I'll be glad to send you the file. I will try to attach it to this message. I'm new to the forum so I'm not sure whether I can. Here goes. Okay, I tried to upload the file with the link at the bottom of this message box, but I think it must be too big. Suggestions?

Hmmm. I know how you feel! [8|]

Meet my American squadron of Oscars in Bangkok which is attached to the Japanese 25th Army HQ. Very confusing.

Err I reported this bug complete with piccies in this forum months ago. So I hope this bug has been looked at since then!

Cheers

Look at Mr. Frag's post...over to the left, below his avatar. it says, "use witp@sympatico.ca for sending saves."
