New Review

GameFreaks365 has posted their review of Starshatter. Scoring a respectable 7.6/10 some highlights from the article are:

"Another astonishing feature is the modding capabilities. You can change nearly everything, and create some great missions. The modder actually has the capacity of creating a mission that surpasses most of the normal missions. "

"simulations were all the rage back in the “old days,” but they seem to be nearly dead today. Starshatter is an innovative space sim that hit stores recently. "

not a bad review but some of his comments are just radiculas, considering what the games suposed to be its not a *instert Name here* picup and shoot fest with no thinking involved. probebly the only thing i realy agree with is the modding, starshttares moding potential is seccond to none. oh well everyone has their own oppinion at the end of the day nothing to say its right tho.[:)]

Fighting multiple enemies is a real pain. If you fight multiple enemies, you’re going to die. You have to fight them one on one, or run away. These two flaws are very apparent, and cripple the entire experience. I did not like this combat, and the combat made most of the game. This fighting system will lead to many pointless deaths and might make it too hard for you to finish. You will try to break your computer after fighting for a while. End of story.

Oh gee, you mean like in REAL LIFE??

IT needs to be even harder, the flight model for space needs to be losed up to allow for inertia and stuff(download my viper MK1 from ssc and you will see), with it, getting jumped by 2 on 1 is ALWAYS bad news.

to many people are not putting the time into actually learning to fight, with milos ships I can take 4 fighters on with 1 and win nearly every time, but I PLAN the attack, not run in full burn and pray my missiles hit.

hell, missiles, lol, everybody seems to swear by them, for me, they are nothing more then a distraction to get close.

yes missles are more of a well if it hits and does some damage its a bonus, keeps a few of them distracted while you pick the straglers off.

I see missiles as weeders. If they hit good, if not oh well, tally ho! [;)]
