Can't Add a device

I'm trying to add an upgrade for a torpedo and when I copy and paste the torpedo data into a new slot and then go to the old torpedo I want to upgrade to the new one I don't see the new device I entered when I select the upgrade pull down.

How do I get it to work?
PO2 US Navy (1980-1986);
USS Midway CV-41 (1981-1984)
Whidbey Island, WA (1984-1986)
Naval Reserve (1986-1992)

After adding the new device, save the scenario, then exit the editor and reload. The new device will now be shown in the upgrade choices.

Alternatively, you can still go ahead and select the slot the device is in without exiting, and it will still work. (Provided you selected the right slot.
