Soviet resistance collapses!

Post by ollittm »

Well, that was too easy.

Just like taking a candy away from a baby.

I managed to get the kill total up to 7.5 million by destroying majority of red army after weather cleared in june..

I wonder if the only kind of AI worth playing against is the kind that launches pre-emptive strike 2 minutes after it reaches self-awareness..

I'm a little confused about the supply lines thought. Ok, railway = supply, but where does it originate from? RKGV?

For the Soviets, the supply originates along the east map edge, at least in part. The game also can do some odd things with supply for the rail lines north of Moscow when Moscow gets captured, and in other situations. There could easily be more to it than that also.

and for the Axis, their supply sources are Berlin, and another city in western Germany, whose name I can't think of right now (Ricky?).

I am not sure, which is why I avoided the Axis side of things ;) However, I do believe that Essen or a city near it is another supply source, as Ed says. Whatever it is, if it falls, the Axis are pretty much done for anyway as most of their cities would have to have fallen by the time whatever the other city is falls.

I've discovered three supply hexes for each side.
Soviet
  • (71,18) SL6 comes from Ural
  • (71,64) SL5 comes from Baku
  • (53,0 ) SL5 comes from Murmansk
Axis
  • (33,4) SL5 comes from Helsinki
  • (2,31) SL6(10 under the Blitzkrieg) comes from Essen
  • (12,28)SL6(10 under the Blitzkrieg) comes from Berlin
Theese hexes are hard bounded to coordinates, not to certain cities or city numbers. Personaly, I'd like to place SL5 source to Kerch penissula instead of Baku and connect Caucasus region with offmap railroad to Ural. I've tried to do so, but failed due to mentioned above reason.
