Panther Games' Highway to the Reich revolutionizes wargaming with its pausable, continuous time game play and advanced artificial intelligence. Command like a real General, under real time pressures to achieve real objectives on a real map all within the fog of war. Issue orders to your powerful AI controlled subordinates or take total control of every unit. Fight the world's most advanced AI opponent or match wits against your friends online or over a LAN. Highway to the Reich covers all four battles from Operation Market Garden, including Arnhem, Nijmegen, Eindhoven and the 30th Corps breakout from Neerpelt.

OT - Up, Up and Away!

Post by Arjuna »

Hi all. Just thought I would share with you the adventure I had early yesterday morning. I recently turned 50 and my wife, Joy, bought me a ride in a hot air balloon over our glorious city of Canberra. Here a sample of the shots I took. Enjoy.

Signalling 'Game 6' in the AA series - 'Airborne Assault: Balloons over Canberra'[:D] Expect deep, meaningful discussions on the lift capacity of standard balloons and the effectiveness of the armour plating on the gondola against small arms fire from below.[&o][&o]

Good pics Dave, thanks for sharing[:)]

Lol...yeah it was a spoiler. New futures in this game: Kamikazes and japanese balloon bombers over Ozzzz.
Though zee camo patterns of those balloons needs to be redone Dave!

Seriously looks like a country where i would want to live in :). Sun, blue skies and green forests.
All we got here currently is wind, snow and a temperature of -7 celcius. Lucky bastards!

Well grouchy, you must live more north than I thought, because here in Belgium, during Summer, we are used to Sun, blue skies and green forest as well. [;)]

No white Chrismas in Australia...

It reminds me of an Australian colleagues who came and worked for us. He spent some good days skying in the Alps in December, just before going home and surfing home. [8D]

As beautiful as it looks, any new game based in Canberra would have to be "Dying of Boredom in Canberra" - see if the enemy paratroopers can last longer than one hour after hitting the DZ before surrendering to boredom and the hostile intent of a town populated by politicians and hard core public servants[;)].

Arjuna wont like this.

Fantastic pics! [:)]

You got a good eye for a shot and nice quality camera. You certainly get better visibility there than in the UK!

Pity about the strange guy with the Panthergames cap hogging the early shots (stalkers must be one of the downsides of being a successful wargame dev) but presumably he was used as ballast during the flight, as he doesn't appear in the later shots [:D]
