Something about this photo just screams commonwealth or British. The painted numbers or letters on the fuselage, the air gunners cloths and helmet. I’m probably wrong.

I'll refine my guess.
Dauntless Mk I (9 built), that was a version of the SBD-5 for the British Fleet Air Arm.

I, like Subchaser, would go with Vengeance. The squared canopy looks more like a Veng than the more rounded SBD model as well as the squadron letters make for a Brit/CW unit.

I'm changeing my vote: Vultee Vengeance. The sbd didn't have the radio antenna where this photo has it. Can i change my vote, or am i stuck with what first came out of my mouth????
