Can Anybody Help With My Problem???

I'm trying to play a simple scenario I created. This is the second time I started it and the first time I got to 21 December 1941 before I had to restart. I'm only at 15 December 1941 and I'm running into problems - NOT with my scenario or data in the database (like 50 Allied ships with sunk dates before their arrival dates or not having B-29's being able to be built in Seattle).

The problem I have is that no matter what ships I use - AK or AP - I cannot transport ANY troops. All my task forces switch to SUPPLY.

1. Create new task force
2. Select Transport
3. Select ship (either 1 AK or 1 AP)
4. Select "Load Only Troops"
5. Select unit to load
6. When back at task force screen instead of "loading troops" it's LOADING SUPPLIES

Can someone please help me?

did you change there affiliation. southeast--northeast type thing??

No they were Central Pacific units I was trying to move from San Francisco to Pearl Harbor and Lahaina.

Transports by default start -loaded- with supplies. Did you go into the screen for the individual ships, and remove the supplies?

I do this procedure for about 3 ships:

1. Create new task force
2. Select Transport
3. Select ship (either 1 AK or 1 AP)
4. Select "Load Only Troops"
5. Select unit to load

And they load troops which I can see as their cargo.

ANY AK or AP ship after that:

1. Create new task force
2. Select Transport
3. Select ship (either 1 AK or 1 AP)
4. Select "Load Only Troops"
5. Select unit to load
6. When back at task force screen instead of "loading troops" it's LOADING SUPPLIES

It does NOT say "loading troops" like it would even if it had 0% loaded but says "Loading Supplies". I've even imediately resolved the next turn to see what it will load and it loads ... supplies and I can't get any cargo or troop transport ship to load anything but supplies.

I've played this game long enough to know how to load troops and supplies. I'm loading only troops yet all it will load on me is supplies.

I'm finding I'm having this same problem now in ALL my games ... even the scenario 15 version that I have been playing since September 2004.

Could soething have happened to my game program file?

Have you changed/installed map or pwhex.dat recently?
Your base may no longer be on a hex defined as a coastal hex.

No.

The ONLY thing I did was create my own scenario using the database editor.

Now even my real game is doing the same thing. even if I select "Load Only Troops" it will load supplies if the troops are loaded and there is room left which it never did before because I always used "Load Only Troops" since I sent supplies by their own convoys.

Also can anyone tell me if there is a place where it tells you if you're selecting an "official" or "unofficial" scenario when you're selecting a scenario to start a new game?

I wonder if its corruption... If you'd been playing sicne 9/04, then all the patches could have screwed up the game badly. That's where my thinking takes me.

I have 4 WiTP directories ... one for v1.0, v1.21, v1.3 and v1.4 .

I created created my scenario out of the v1.21 directory and I get the same thing happening in all the higher directories also.

Also, I completely deleted the v1.21 directory and reinstalled it and when I started a new game using my scenario I still get the same problem.

Another thing that puzzles/worries me is that in another thread someone confirmed that when you select a scenario text should be displayed informing you whether the scenario is an "official" or "unofficial" WITP scenario and in NONE of my WITP versions do I get that text displayed when I select a scenario.
