What Day will it be available?

Gary Grigsby's World At War gives you the chance to really run a world war. History is yours to write and things may turn out differently. The Western Allies may be conquered by Germany, or Japan may defeat China. With you at the controls, leading the fates of nations and alliances. Take command in this dynamic turn-based game and test strategies that long-past generals and world leaders could only dream of. Now anything is possible in this new strategic offering from Matrix Games and 2 by 3 Games.

I need to plan the day out so I can have a full block of 12 hours to play. [:)] What day are you planning on it being available?

We take no responsibility for lost work days, spousal estrangement, or other adverse occurances resulting from either waiting for the game, or playing the game. [:-]

Several of us are working on some multiplayer games to make teh coming days go faster.

Tonight I will start a "help me beat the AI" forum based game where your poll responses will decide my strategy as the COmmies and Chinese. We will see if a consensus of you kibitzers will do better than me which should not be hard [:o]

Looks to be better than SH2 - which would not be hard because SH2 was a piece of junk.

Personally if they get it out by the projected 16th date I'll be happy beyond joy.
If they don't I'll be less-happy but it will just make it even better when I do get the game.

But overall I think by the end of March is a pretty realistic expectation.

I hope SH3 will have open ended play like SH and Aces of the Deep. I didn't like the idea of being told to sink a aircraft carrier or fail the mission. Now back to GGWaW.

Yeah, if your mission was to sink 60k tons of shipping and instead you sunk a carrier the mission was considered a failure.

Well, if you didn't sink the shipping you were ordered to in RL, you would get a reprimand. Then you'd get a commendation for sinking the carrier, but the reprimand would still go in your permanent record (and depending on your CO, it might be the thing that gets more emphasis).

If you sunk a carrier you would be paraded through the streets of Berlin as a hero (or at least get a hearty handshake from Doenitz).[:D]
