How about a tourney?

Matrix Games and Simulations Canada combine and completely remake two classic NATO vs. Warsaw Pact wargames into a new classic. Based on the original wargames “Main Battle Tank: North Germany” and “Main Battle Tank: Central Germany”, Flashpoint Germany is a new grand tactical wargame of modern combat. Every aspect of modern grand tactical warfare is included, from advanced armor, air and helicopters to chemical and tactical nuclear weapons. Step into the most dangerous war.. . that never was.

It sounds like a good idea to me, I'm game. I have never organised one before, but there is a tourney going on with HTTR. Maybe something like that would work for us.

HTTR is sweet. You can micromanage, or let the friendly AI take care of most details for you. Time scale can be adjusted. Lot of fun. Market Garden has fascinated me for years. Probably ever since I got Ryan's book on it for Xmas awhile back. I have about five books that cover the battles now, and playing the game is a treat.

I also got the movie on DVD for $9 at Kroger.

Alvin - didn't get your e-mail, neither Matrix PM nor yahoo, check my profile for correct address. How early Saturday can you play? I've got all day open. I'm gone most of tomorrow day, back around 6-7PM CST. I'll e-mail you as soon as I'm strapped in tomorrow evening. Maybe play then?

I thought the movie went a little easy on Urquhart (Sean Connery, too bad) and XXX Corps. But Michael Caine was cool.
