Landing at Port Moresby

Post by Koenig »

Scenario 17.
If the Allied player decides to defend PM, should the Jap land on it or take the beach nearby and march on PM?

I would land directly on PM. Make sure to take beach nearby to cut off the allies retreat.

same here

tho the prospect of landing a COMPANY to SUCCESSFULLY cut off the retreat of a DIVISION OR MORE is VERY fishy; coulda used more work lolz

cuz if u land at the beach instead of direct at PM ur troops are gonna be bombed and strafed the whole dam way

plus theyl have used up precious supplies and be worn out for the attack[X(]

Marching through the malarial jungle takes a lot out of your troops too. Better to just take your lumps from CD guns/mines/whatever and land at PM

Oh, but the bit about having a retreat route cut off by a tiny detachment needs to go. Thats just cheesey. The retreat route should reqire the blocking force to be at least 1/4 of the size of the retreating force.
