Combined Historical Scenario "Tweaks"
1. I've grabbed five US freighters and one tanker from initial dispositions/early reinforcements and positioned them at the Panama Canal. I also increased the initial supply and oil at the cana by an amount approximately equal to their cargo capacity. The allied player can load them up and ship them out - but there are no ASW escorts available. Be Careful!
2. The light cruiser Trenton was apparently at the canal on 12/7, so I put her there.
3. Tried as best I could - read every history entry - but every one of the destroyers assigned to the 15th Naval District (Canal Zone) was deployed on the Atlantic side. Convoy escort and ASW in the Caribbean. No ASW assets on the Pacific side.
4. Reviewed the 12/7 inventory of B-23 (minor mod to B-18) and increased B-18 inventory appropriately.
5. Reduced fuel of Kamoi to 3200 - beats me as to why but it works.

RE: Combined Historical Scenario "Tweaks"
Did some web searches for "Aden" and found a few adjustments:
The British Sloop Shoreham was operating out of Aden in December, 1941 (based on a personal history of one of her crew). We had her arriving mid war - adjusted to be at Aden at the start. Two other sloops may have been in the region - Egret and Fleetwood. Both were there early in the war but I can not place them there as of 1941 and have not added them.
Two Indian converted patrol craft, Netravati and Parvati, were also based in Aden as of late Summer 1941 and I guess they were probably still there - added.

Three New Icons
Here are three new icons. These came from line drawings in a PDF file of Japanese Small craft - including captured ships.
Top to bottom:
A Dutch Coastal Cargo Ship
The US Gunboat Wake (smaller than Panay)
The British Insect class gunboats (with 6in guns)
We also have a bunch of new submarine icons coming from Tankerace, newly updated ship Icons from Platoonist. and soon the additional aircraft art from TheElf. Wonderful!
New classes have been added for the Dutch Cargo ship and the Insect class. We already had a Wake class - just updated the icon. All coastal cargo ships that are dutch were changed to the new Dutch Coastal Cargo and the British Gunboats Moth, Cicla, Scorpion, Dragonfly and Grasshopper have been added at Hong Kong (first 2) and Singapore (last 3). They have no chance (all were historically lost) but are nice little bits of history. Besides, the Japanese can use all the ship-kill points they can get!

Sweet work there Don. So many warships...so little time.
Kinda wondering if these Japanese Standard Type B merchies I came up with need a little more ballast...or a little less waterline showing. [;)]

Well, if we are talking icons, how about ditching the one I dislike the most, actually I dislike Pyro AE, Kanawha AO and the PG used by default for Niagara, Sacramento etc.
Here is a pic of Asheville class profile and ships which have its relative profile (Sacramento, Asheville, Tulsa)

RE: New Icons
I was thinking that two new icons would do. But, if people do more, hell, why not.?

Ooooo. Can I have dibs on the PGs with the classic yacht lines?....quick doodle. Did these have wooden deckhouses?

Now I have to figure how to effectively reduce it to 50 microbes..um..I mean pixels wide. Yes...I know. Chronic crybaby. [:D]

Just so I know what's going on, did we switch graphic backgrounds? We need to decide on one and go with it, not have six different versions.

CobraAus is using a different background for his "cameo" style artwork. He is making a complete set of ship art which will be released as an alternate icon set. The "basic" icon set still uses "haze gray" ships on the standard "Matrix" background. A third alternative is the "camo" style ships on "Matrix" background.
I am currently going through all of the ship icons with the intent of gathering a complete set of "Matrix" format icons. I've found some problems with Japanese Icons for Asama Maru and Kongo Maru ("shils" are of different ships than "sides"). Platoonist has reviewed all the new merchant ships and cleaned up my earlier icons (Thanks Platoonist). We still have several with "mixed" styles - Matrix "Sides" and Cameo "Shils" and I'll address those right away.
I've not be able to include the newest set of PG/PY icons as yet. Busy, busy.
