Prepare to be Invaded! The Date is Set

Gary Grigsby's World At War gives you the chance to really run a world war. History is yours to write and things may turn out differently. The Western Allies may be conquered by Germany, or Japan may defeat China. With you at the controls, leading the fates of nations and alliances. Take command in this dynamic turn-based game and test strategies that long-past generals and world leaders could only dream of. Now anything is possible in this new strategic offering from Matrix Games and 2 by 3 Games.

Prepare to be Invaded! The Date is Set

Post by David Heath »

Everyone wants a ship date....... drum roll please. Gary Grigsby World At War will start shipping to retail stores on March 28, 2005. We expect it will take a few days to reach the stores. Once we get a better date on when the stores will have the game available we will set the digital download date as well.

I guess someone won't be getting their eBay copy Saturday. [:'(]

I kid, I kid. (I try to be good, really I do...)

In any event, you guys are really going to be rewarded by the wait. Once the action goes hot in the Gold Pbem, maybe we can get a turn by turn PBEM going.

Trust me, the wait will be more than worth it.

Well, agreements get made and we set policies that we can't just change because of a delays and not have people get mad. We understand your frustrations and have been working as hard as we can to get it to you as quickly as possible, but if we change policy to suit one set of customers, we hurt our credibility with another set of customers.

Our apologies for the delay. Hey, you will be able to find out if teh WA can manage to come back after losing Britain before you embarrass yourself like I've managed... More school time means less noob mistakes when you get the game ;)

See we just don't want our pbem customers to look bad.. you can spend an extra 2 weeks learnign from our mistakes and come out of the blcoks that much stronger [8D]

I was only hoping on false prophets (and a great hope it was...) but I knew, realistically, we'd be seeing this more like late March.

I'll just give my kid $100 next Monday and give him the stupid game whenever it does arrive.

It's not my fault nor these companies fault that this thing has been delayed.

Listen I don't give a fuck about the stupid game. I am cancelling my order from ebay and will never buy another product from matrixgames for as long as I live.

I would love to spend more time debating my stance with pathetic video game junkies but I have more pressing issues to attend to on the internet.

Cheers ;)

ROFL...it hasn't been delayed, it hasn't been RELEASED[8|]. Maybe this is your first time buying a game from an independent developer but it works like this: The game goes gold, then it is available for download in about 1-2 weeks but, in this case it is getting retail exposure ergo it takes more time to prepare boxed copies and distribute them. To take any iota of information from the links you provided has no more scientific fact than a horoscope. Pardon me for pontificating but anything regarding "E-bay" IMHO is crap, if you know someone special and have bought from them in the past that's wonderful but to think they know a damn thing about when a wargame is going to be ready from production is just a crock of....shizzle!
