250 pound bomb being loaded on an external bomb rack of an beafighter with a bomb trolley (mk 8), this mk 8 was an improvement over the mk 7 wich tended to loose tires and drop loads...........[;)]

Wild Willie is right. Here is a Beaufighter, note the single, clamshell, bomb rack on the wing, triangular tail and round or oval nacelle on the leading wing edge (gun port for vickers?)

It appears the supply situation in this base has "gone orange" as the ammo loaders look like they could use some gravy on their fries or something.
