Question about battle prediction option

Post by Colonel Poochie »

As I understand, there is an option in the game that will predict the outcome of a battle you are about to enter in to. Could this be abused considering the fog of war?
What if I am about to attack a country with my small army and it tells me I have a 2% of winning. I then select a different adjacant territory and it tells me I have a 90% of winning. Couldn't you exploit this to probe for a territory with not many troops or do I have this all wrong?
One more question, can you change the ending of the war from fall of 1946 to indefinite?
This game looks like it is going to great. This will make up for the major disappointment that axis and allies was (at least I hope it does).
Thx.

You will not be disappointed!

Fog of war only covers territory more than 2 ranks deep. Territories that you can attack, you already know what's there. Note: if you make a move that reveals units previously hidden by FOW, you cannot undo that move.

Yes, you can change the end date to indefinite.

That's like the president saying:

"Oops, I didn't mean to press the Nuclear Attack button. Can I take it back?"
