Can't load save games

Frank Hunter's Campaigns on the Danube is an operational study of the campaigns along the Danube in 1805 and 1809. Campaigns on the Danube's system focuses on trying to present the player with the same sort of decisions placed on their historical counterparts; how to feed an army and move that army according to a plan, all the while trying to fight a campaign. There is also an option to allow players to play out the battles with miniatures and input the results.

I am having a similar problem (I have version 2.2). My problem is that when I load the save game it asks me for a password! I know I didn't put when I saved it. Don't think it even gave me the option. If I try to load from autosave I just get a blank map and the program freezes.

Also there seems no way to quit out of a game other then con/alt/del. Am I missing something[&o]

@yogard, I'm likely to be unhelpful here, but did you install the game to the default location or to a different spot? Can't remember if this was addressed in any of the patches, but changing install directory messed things up at one time.

@mikesanky, you can just hit ESC and a dialog box will pop up, asking if you want to quit.

Thanks for the reply. I can now exit the game without problem. I still cannot load save games but as I have the game on my d: drive (along with all my matrix games) so not the default directory it looks to me if this problem you mention hasn't been fixed.

Is this something Matrix will fix with a future update I wonder?

The password problem is a strange one. I haven't come across that one before, though I did get some strange save/load behaviour when I first installed the game. I would definitely try a fresh install to the default location to see if it helps.
