Stardownloader problem?

Post by Rocco »

Hi,

My first attempt was disconnected halfway through the download, So I got stardownloader.

Now stardownloader shows the 4th entry as timeout at about 14 MB. The others are chugging along fine at about 60 MB now.

So am I screwed again? the 4th entry hasn't reconnected.

Any help from someone who uses this is greatly appreciated

Thanks

Rocco,

Go into options in starloader. U can try change the number of files it d/ls simultaniously.
Go higher or try 3, if the 4th is the problem.

Kind regards,

Rocco,

Stardownloader should be able to recover, but there's really only one way to find out. I'm not sure why you are having download issues with your connection, but you are certainly welcome to try again if this attempt doesn't work for you.

So, the only way to find out if it will recover is to wait until the others finish?

I take it when the others finish, they won't take over for the forth one?

Argh.

Thanks

OK, I got it running again. If anyone else has this problem, do this, it may help.

In options, set the retry attempt to a high number, it's default is only 10. Then, pause the download, then resume the download.

It got mine started back up.

You may want to reduce the second between retries as well, the default is 30.

Thanks for the replies everyone, the help is much appreciated.
