Only a 32Mb one to meet the requirements though, which is available in virtually all computers these days and has been for years. That would be GeForce 2 and such.

And for the record, you can pick up a Geforce 2 for like 30 dollars.... if you don't have at least that you should really get one.

It also requires Windows 2000/XP (making note since a lot of folks with really old machines without 3D capable cards still run Win98).

Agreed, if you're going to pick up a new one, there are some nice last generation 64Mb and 128Mb cards that sell for less than $50 that would be much better than a GeForce 2 and more than happy running GGWaW and a bunch of other new games.

Please update your computer if you HAVE to complain whether it requires 3D graphics or not. Unless of course your intention was to play it on your laptop computer that was issued to you through work. ;)

Other than that, there's no excuse for not having a 3D card and any complaints on the fact that this requires one should be taken with a grain of salt. That's just my opinion.

totally exact, and even onboard chipset are 3D capable now... Anyway Directdraw is deprecated, so most if not all games use D3D functionnalities now.

edit: to be exact, there is one big game, release recently, about WW2, which still use directdraw (and it shows, despite the fact its a really good game)... I will let you find which one. [:'(]

Yes, I was going to use it on my laptop - that's my primary method of gaming...

Actually the 3D requirement is not as easy as it sounds for some. You will require at least a AGI slot although I have heard they now have some that work PCI but I am not sure those will operate with earlier computers.

I know I had to replace my computer for this about 4 years ago and have since replaced it twice. 3D requirements are almost universal now. The process of upgrading is so regular. I have not had a year go buy where I have not had to upgrade or buy a new machine in 12 years.

I run four different machines for both my business and games. I have two more sitting in boxes since I consider older machines back ups. I always end up throwing them away soon after the next computer.

Window 2000/XP is probably pretty standard today also.

These requirements will only get worse so you have to learn to look at the requirements long before a new release to be sure you have the latest technology.

Matrix has done a good job keeping the requirements low for this and there other games.

Give it a couple of weeks and the g force 7 will be out and all the people who introduce themselves by proclaiming 'I've the best PC here' will buy one and the g force 6 will be cheap.
BTW my computers called 'Hal'.[;)]
