DD cost

Post by oi_you_nutter »

ebGames have lived up to my low expectations and have no real idea when GGWaW will arrive

so I looked at the DD option...

ummm..... same price for the download with pdf as the boxed version with a printed manual...

ummm... California + others have to pay sales tax as well

pay 39.99 + 7.25% sales tax for less than what I would get for retail purchase (excluding any othere price breaks)

hunt for brand new game 2+ hours
decide to download to save time 39.99
sales tax on download 2.90
pay more for less...PRICELESS

I ordered the digital download, from the Matrix Games site, with a California address, and I wasn't charged sales tax.

Obviously your summer home - we obviously can't condone any advice that might result in proper taxes not getting paid....

GoGamer has it for $36.99 and you can get the special cheap shipping of $1.99 for it. I've decided to wait on their 48 hour madness sale on it which will take at least $5.00 off, I'm just not in that big of a hurry to add another game to my gaming library that will get a weeks worth of play most likely and then into the used games rack. hehe
WE/I WANT 1:1 or something even 1:2 death animations in the KOIOS PANZER COMMAND SERIES don't forget Erik! ;) and Floating Paratroopers We grew up with Minor, Marginal and Decisive victories why rock the boat with Marginal, Decisive and Legendary?

the last game I had to hunt down was HOI2 and I learnt a lot about ebGames in the process, wasting a lot of time and petrol/gas in the process

after the initial supply problems with HOI2 it is now in such places as Bestbuy and Frys which can only help sales to more normal people, which is good for the hobby/industry. yes folks, we are part of a crusade to let the general public know that there are games that are not only rts/fps types. Games that are fun and can make you think !

as Matrix seem to be pushing people to buy GGWaW at retail places I have decided to wait and get it from a high street shop. This does not mean buying from ebGames as they have pissed me off with there slack attitudes to customer service.

The reason I complained about the DD cost was because the Matrix store says that Californians have to pay sales tax... other posters have said that they did not ...

Matrix please correct your store notice if sales tax is not being charged

overall, I think that people still spend about the same amount of money on petrol/gas as you do in Europe, the greater distances and lower mpg cancel out the lower prices
