Attaching units

Post by FUBARD »

Hi all,

Fantastic game, fantasic community, fantastic fun - thanks.

If I have already given an order to a unit/group of units and then ten minutes later a reinforcement unit appears e.g. an AT unit and I want it to join the previous group and complete the same order is there a way just to attach the AT unit to the other unit without having to issue separate orders to each unit?

Thanks.

It depends.

If the reinforcement is organic to the already on-map formation, then all you need to do is hit the Re-Attach button. Note however that this will still force the formation HQ in question to re-plan its orders, which means delay. On the other hand, if you're trying to attach the unit to a different HQ, then you can only do that by multi-selecting and then re-issuing the order for the whole group; there is no option to simply attach the unit.

Hope this makes sense...

Of course, if your reinforcements are arriving with a grace period on orders delay, as is usually the case, you might as well just give them the orders individually. It's not going to hurt in terms of delay, for that special case.
