DX9c and WMP9

Post by Kampferzähn »

This question may be completely irrelevant but I've heard GGWaW requires Windows Media Player 9.0. I know it requires DirectX 9.0c, however.

My question is; are these (DirectX 9.0c, and Windows Media Player 9.0 if it's needed) included in the install? I want to know since if it's not, I'd like to go get them tonight so I avoid the hassle tomorrow when I hope to receive my copy.

I would assume they are but I'm unsure, so I'm just checking.

Go to Windows Update and get all your updates.

It is Media Player 10 now, 9 was replaced some time back.

Contrary to urban legends, you should keep your machine current with all the updates.

A happy machine is a current machine. [;)]

Very good advice.

I don't know if I can get all updates in one go since my 56k hates me, but maybe some of the more essential ones for now.

Thanks for replying.
