Damn it. I want the manual and I couldn't wait. Matrix, is there a law prohibiting me from selling my DD to a friend while I go out and by the retail version?

Just remove the manual and then sell the retail cd to your friend. The retail cd comes with .pdf and .doc copies of the manual so your friend should be all set.
