Research - Speed Attribute

Post by johnvv »

How does the unit 'speed' attribute really work? If I research to a level 2 or 3 for my armor units, by how much does it increse their movement? Does it increase their extended movement?

I am thinking that by increasing speed, armor would be much more effective in Russia in the early stages of Barbarossa. If you can open a hole in the Soviet lines, then armor with increased speed can move much deeper into any open areas that if it still had a speed of '1'. Is this correct?

Thanks.

You cannot research land unit speed. Only air and naval unit speed. This will increase their movement points available each turn. Armor has a speed of 2, all other land units have a speed of 1.
