jAPAN PRODUCING QUESTION

Post by randell765 »

When Jaspan starts out, and I am in production it shows no population at all, am I doing something wrong? I have figured out how to do production with Germany(a little bit) but all I can do with Japan in the beginning is R&D.

In addition, when I bomb the Asian continent with japan there is like 1 or 2 Chinese infantry(when I pass my mouse over), but the second I move some troops in(5 or 6 infantry units appear, whats going on?

Your population problem is likely caused by casualties. If not completely destroyed, casualties go into your production slots and require the same 2 pop to finish. They can gut your ability to produce new units if they pile up.

As for China's militia sitch, I had a 'what the hell' moment when I first played, too, but it's a question of RTFMing. Apparently China is full of very, very angry farmers. It's a special rule.

You must not be going into the production for specific regions. Just because Japan has only one nationality, doesn't mean that the population shows up in the All Production view as you could own captured factories. You must click on the Japanese flag on the production screen and that will get you to Japan Production which will show you population for Japan. Then you can page through individual regions. Japan gets 8 population a turn so you do have some.
