Bah, after the severe bloodletting of the winter, the panzers are broken reeds and can no longer effectively entrap and devour Soviet armies.

Even though we are aware that Hitler has ordered a total war footing and that the panzers will soon receive new tanks, the Soviet Army is confident that the summer campaign of 1942 will see it victorious!

The German High Command assures Hitler that with mud the army can fight on through the summer.
Deep in the bunkers other commanders closer to the front talk of a coup so that the war can be properly fought.
Guderian is made a secret candidate to head the OKH.

Soviet forces have liberated Riga and Mogilev and are poised to smash strongly into Belorussia. Farther south, the German defenses are harder to penetrate but steady progress is being made nonetheless. We have also heard persistent rumors that Hitler may soon be assassinated by disgruntled senior Wehrmacht officers.

Soviet forces celebrate the destruction/capture of over 35,000 German artillery pieces!!

Victorious Soviet forces have created strong bridgeheads over the Dvina and Dnepr rivers. Daugavpils and Stalino have been liberated, and the first attacks against Kiev have also been delivered. Unfortunately, General Mud arrives just in time to save the Wehrmacht from further defeats!

The rasputitsa has ended. Soviet armies resume the offensive. Despite the rest and reinforcement of the last 4 weeks, German forces are unable to prevent leading echelons from breaching the Dvina River line. Stalin now orders that the summer objectives will be to clear the fascist vultures from Belorussia and the Baltic states!!!

The mud season is over and summer is upon us. Despite fanatical German resistance, Soviet forces have liberated Kiev and Dnepropetrovsk; they are also crossing the Dniepr River in strength. In Belorussia, our glorious spearheads are within striking range of Minsk! Glory glory...

The strategic reallignment of the defence lines continues. Mounting success is being scored by the rejeuvanated panzer units.
92,000 soviet squads
14,000 tanks and
24,000 planes have been destroyed.
Soon they will run out of men and the Axis troops can march on to victory.

The valiant Soviet attack has carried our glorious armies across the Dvina and Dnepr rivers. In the north, strong forces are ready to liberate Lithuania and the western Belorussia. In the south, we are preparing to liberate Zhitomir from the fascists. Zhukov has informed Stalin that several Italian tank/motorized divisions originally deployed in North Africa have been identified in the East. Could the Germans be running out of manpower that they have to rely on their allies for support?

The redeployment of German forces continues as the Soviet offensive, pitiful as it was, weakens and in some places halts entirely. The German army prepares to regain the lost ground. Otherwise they will be shot. AH.

Traitor former Führer now also Kommisar Muzrub aside, the proud German forces wishes to announce that in addition to one Soviet army being forced to surrender and another a tattered retreat, over 100,000 Soviet squads have now been destroyed, 26,000 aircraft and 14,000 tanks.
Soon the so called workers paradise will collapse and the real Reich will triumph.

June 21, 1942

Despite desperate and ever weakening counterattacks, our glorious armies continue to storm westward on all fronts. Kaunas has been liberated and soon the rest of Belorussia will be cleared. Only the Luftwaffe remains a nuisance, but the Red Air Force grows stronger with each passing week, and soon our Anglo-American allies will begin their air bombardment of the Reich.

The West and African fronts are quiet as yet, but since we have identified many DAK/Italian formations in Russia, it is only a matter of time before these fronts collapse.

Stavka confirms that we have indeed inflicted 2.56 million casualties on the fascists. Stalin has ordered the construction of a dozen new POW camps in Siberia to house all these poor losers...
