The Paced Game - Chinese AAR Threaad

Post by Barthheart »

Spring 1940.
Finally a cease fire in the fighting between the Nationalist and the Communist armies to has come to be so that we may confront our common enemy - the evil Japanese Empire. Their imperial thirst for our country must be stopped. Already this year we have lost a provence to them![:@]
Just the show them that this dog still has teeth, we attack! And win! Taking their newly acquired gift from Germany - French IndoChina. Seemed appropiate because of the name. [:D] Now we must build suppies and troops. It seems however the the Nationalist and Communist workers ar not as united as the armies and the petty scabbles slow badly needed production to a crawl. We can only hope the Russia or the Western Allies will not abandon us in our hour of need.[&o]

Here is China at the end of the first season of rebirth!

ps (This is my first ever game as China. It should be fun and expect some more surprising moves.)

One question about the move into Indochina. If you hit the icon to show nationality, what shows for Indochina? If it is anything other than that blue and white Chinese flag, you will not get the free militia defending there that you would elsewhere.

That's right, I won't get the automatic militia generation. That's only for Chinese home provences. Maybe it's my fiction writing that confused the situation.[;)]

It is not that your writing is unclear, merely my memory of some parts of the map. I do the majority of my posting from work where I do not have access to the game.

I was questioning the wisdom of taking Indochina since it seems that the guys there will be more exposed to counterattack there than they would be in a province of Chinese nationality.

Ahh.... who said anything about my move being wise.[:D]
This is my first game as China and I wanted to try some different moves than what I've been reading in the ARR's. My thinking is if I garrison it well enough the Japs might leave it alone or waste supplies and men trying to take it back, which is good for all my allies. I'm not too afraid of the Japs coming inland, because my forces are spread thin, as that would cause my factory multiplier to go up and the Japs to loose the US gifts. Should be an interesting game.[8D]
