In my best games I've always taken Leningrad, Moscow, and Stalingrad in Nov/Dec. But more importantly than actually achieving the victory (which is certainly not guranteed), is your use of Panzer forces. I always try to avoid direct combat and instead focus on cutting off and killing Soviet armies. Push deep, hard and fast during special supply of course but instead of running your Panzer corps down a rail line have one on either side of the rail and coming together in the last movement. Also, have Panzer armies (groups of 2 or more Panzer corps) work together to achieve cutoffs of large forces. The beauty of this is that surrendered troops don't get to gain quality and toughness for the next battle AND your opponent, that planned on using those divisions to fall back and fill out his second line (a hollow shell with one division in it gaining entrenchment), now doesn't have any front line troops to fall back with. He has to use the recycled units out of RVGK. If you don't win in winter '41 with this strategy you will at least make it much more difficult for the Soviet winter counter attack to take place and open up the possibility of a summer '42 victory. Good luck.

I would reveal the secret, but that would pale in comparison with the fact that Ed Cogburn has compromised the trust of the design team with his actions. The truth will come out soon.
