O glorious emperor, these are today’s battle reports:
A pre invasion Naval bombardment of Amboina by our battle hardened ships resulted in almost 300 imperialistic losses, preparing the way for your divine forces witch will land here on the next day. The allies counter attacked your forces with their puny PT boats, but they fled without a shot fired. The ground combat at Changsha went well, enemy forces fell like pear blossoms in a divine wind. Taiping was CAPTURED by your imperial guards(see picture) isolating 30K enemy troops in Georgetown, where they will be destroyed during the next few days. Singapore will fall within 2 weeks……

With respect, I have to report an a suprise change of tactics on the allies side.
This night the imperialists made a SUICIDE ATTACK on our invasion taskforce at Amboina, after a fierce struggle the valiant pt 15 went down. The allies actually scratched the paint on one of our imperial destroyer. DD Uzuki was hit TWISE by enemy 7.7 mm shells, fired during an engagement with yet more PT boats during wtich 4 enemy boats were sunk.
Another high profile operation is underway, more about this tomorrow

Today the enemy tried to counter attack at Naga with the forces that are isolated at legaspi, 4 divisions and 2 base forces, they where immediately attacked with al available forces and the enemy was forced again to retreat towards legaspi. Also at Naning the encircled enemy forces try to mass in order to break out, they have been shock attacked for the last 2 day by the remnant of the original forces of Naning with only 1-1 attacks, but today the valiant defenders of Naning got reinforced by an fully supplied and rested imperial infantry division, these extra 420 assault points should be enough to push the Chinese back towards Paknoi.
At the Malaya peninsula things are going well, enemy forces have been isolated and the IMP guards are continuing their attacking. To further cut of the enemy forces from Singapore a SURPRISE LANDING is scheduled for tomorrow at the base above Singapore (forgot the name) tomorrow 2 divisions will land there sealing the fate of the peninsula. This move will further more cut of another 5 units from Singapore, with will only contain 5 units to defend the city. Allied air attacks on the invasion convoy near Singapore only hit the cruiser Naga, she was hit 4 times by 250 en 500 pound bombs, surprisingly she only had 30 sys 20 float and 40 fire damage, with some luck I can salvage her (no great loss if I cant).

After a 2 week interlude, the imperial army is marching to victory again !!!
In a daring suprise landing the IJN landed a IJA division at Johore Bahru (base north of singapore), They met only light opposition (probably 2 base forces or weak indian brigades) and are preparing to assault the base. on their way home home the landing fleet was again attacked by swordfish TB's. My zero's on LRcap intercepted them and no damage was done.
Today yet another IJN trap was sprung to kill as many imperialistic pigs as possible.
After their successful attack at pearl harbour and their subsequent involvement in the destruction in a score of allied ships that ventured forth from pearl, the mighty KB retreated towards the home island to assist in the capture of vital recourses for the war industries, they even MADE SURE that imperialistic Catalina’s saw them retreating near Midway… . BUT they left behind a suprise…………….
The proud IJN ship KAGA was split from the mighty KB to stay behind and prowl the water between Pearl an the mainland, watching and waiting for an opportunity to pounce the unsuspecting “amelicans” when they tried to reinforce pearl or withdraw ships to the main land. Devine KAGA stayed on station for 3 weeks before finally…………
An imperial sub spotted 2 CA’s (possible BB’s ??) retreating towards the mainland about 15 hexes south of KAGA’s position. As always, the imperialistic forces pounded at once, hoping for yet another mighty victory but they would be disappointed……..
When they sprang their trap the imperial forces found out that they “only” trapped some DD’s,. “Only” 5 destroyers where found and attacked by the imperial cherry blossoms, the results where predictable, but they had hoped for a bigger bounty…. This latest trap could and should have bagged bigger game, but the war is still young and more traps are being set as I speak………..

At rabaul things are finally looking up, after I brought in an extra SNLF force I finally reduced the fortifications to 2 and it shoul also fall in the next days....
Yesterday my betty's at amboria nailed a dutch cruiser (java) and a AP transport with torpedo's, they are going to hamper brigada's effords in evacuating/reinforcing java. He got lucky, a cruiser taskforce almost intercepted his transports, but they where forced to retreat due to lack of fuel,,,,

The war has been going on now for about a month and things are going the IJA way, this is mainly caused by the TOTAL LACK of opposition from Brigada. Ok, I sunk some of his ships near Pearl by holding back the KB, but there should be PLENTY of materiel for him to throw at me, but NADA.
Today his swordfish bombers on extended strike struck at my battle fleet moving towards Johore Bahru to bombard the LIVING SH*T out of his 10 units caught there by my divisions.
A single 500 pound bomb struck the turret of Fuso and scratched her paint.
I am in dubio about the approach towards Singapore and Johore Bahru. If I attack there and force the 10 units to retreat, they will probably retreat towards Singapore, the only way to stop this is to make Singapore a contested hex……………. This can only be done by landing a force there, but to reduce the “gamelynes” factor of such a move, I would have to land at least a brigade there. This will most likely cost me a sh*t load of transports, and if the counter attack by the Singapore defenders succeeds, a brigade (can ALSO NOT retreat towards a contested hex)…
What to do, what to do…

You could say that my oppent "found" the KB today.
To cover my BB bombardmend of Johore Bahru, I send a covering force, THE KB.
As my oppent's bombers went after my "bombardment" group, they found no less than 50 zero's on LRcap over them. The result was predictable, and the bombardment continued with 2300 allied cassualties...... The 2:1 attack that followed lowered fortifications to 2, the base will fall tomorrow.

An eventfull day today, my imperial fighters shot a lot of allied planes out of the sky today attacking my carrier near batavia, destroying 95 % of the dutch fokker TIV's (13 destroyed). Also the INJ forces near amboria sunk SS seawolf, and nailed some transports near Darwin. Lost some zero's to the AVR in burma, but I will deal with them later. Johore baru fell today, and the final assault on singapore is about to begin.
BATAAN FALLS!!!! After a succesful attack, the defenders have been driven out of bataan and into marinallo, where they will be finally destroyed in 3 days time.......... In the mean time transport have been detatched toward the philiphines to pick the used troops up to continue the offensiv towards my final goal: JAVA
The KB intercepted a allied transport taskforce south of java, my IJN pilots sunk a lot of them. The survivors will be picked of by some destroyers. A suicide attack on the KB by some allied bombers was brushed aside with ease. The KB speeds on to further victory's.

The victorious IJA forces took Kendary, and after the IJN bombardment of Darwin, my opponent put al the available surface combat ships in Darwin in a sb tf to stop another bombardment force. The resulting naval battle bloodied both sides. After both forces disengaged the KB struck the surviving allied forces with a devastating blow. (although still on extended strike) Meanwhile my BB bombardment force struck at Palembang, and where counter attacked by allied villdebeast and swordfishes. The IJN LRcap force was NOT present on the AM turn (the responsible commander will be send to the western front) and ISE got hit by a single torpedo (20 sys damage, 5 flood damage and 14 fire damage). The other allied air strikes where all intercepted by fighters and no damage was done. Near Darwin the final chapter of the battle was written by SS S-41, putting 2 torpedo’s into already stricken CA Nachi, sinking here…………. The families of the Nachi’s crew will be notified that their family died for the greater glory of the empire……

A very surprising day today, the IJN forces keep the pressure up on Darwin. After 3 days of relentless air attacks, Brigada decided to run the gauntlet trough the blockading INJ forces. The first TF was intercepted during the night by a IJN destroyer squadron and severely damaged. At dawn THE KB IS IN A BAD WEATHER HEX and no strikes are flown against the retreating taskforces (grrr), Only bombers from Amboria fly mission against the allied TF’s.

THE COMMANDER OF THE ASW SCREEN has been keelhauled multiple times along the longitude axis of CA Aoba………………………
The KB has been ordered to withdraw, the allied taskforces are fleeing Darwin and tomorrow the G3’s and G4’s at Amboria will have a final field day attacking them before they should be out of range.
I would like to thank Brigada (my PBEM opponent ) for giving me this wonderful DARWINIAN feasting opportunity ……….
