my game keep crashing

my game keep crashing - i have updated my drivers, ive got that patch but i havent go to play one turn yet. heres my DxDiag.txt

Please also update the SB Audigy 2 drivers.

Also, did you install a "odec Pack like "Nimo`s Codec Pack" or "Ace Mega Pack"? You have a whole lot of 3rd Party Audio and Video Codecs installed.

without third party codec i cant watch all the video ive downloaded- neccesarry evil- i updated my sound card yesterday abuit ill try again thanks

I know, but a lot of these codec packs mess up some important filers, which eventually leads to these problems. In your case it could be a messed up AC3 filter. We allready had a few customers that had no issues anymore after uninstalling certain codec packs that are known for causing a lot of problems. As for example the "Ace Mega Pack".

It´s recommended to not use these "I want it all" codec packs, especially not if you´re not really savy with codecs. They can really mess your system up. Instead it´s much better to only install the codecs you really need. There are applications out there like for example "G-Spot", these applications scan a movie file and tell you which codec you would need exactly to play the file.

Yours are dated "6/19/2003", the latest from Soundblaster / Creative are dated "29 Jul 04"
