Fokker G.1A .. primarely because every time I see aircombat over the DEI as Allies I wish I had some.. and everytime I play Japan I am happy there aren´t any.

Sorry Dutchguy, but the G1A was underpowered and slow. A smaller, single person fighter variant of the model would have been MUCH more effective ( rumor goes that the US build such a model, later named P38............)

Gotta side with the doctor on this. Always loved the P-47. How can you not love
a FIGHTER plane nicknamed "the JUG"? Lots of firepower, tremendously rugged,
and you could almost always "bail" from a fight if necessary by simply putting
the nose down (saved a lot of rookies). It has a big, brutal, barroom brawler look
that is refreshingly different from the sleeker lines of most of it's competetors.

At this point, mid 1943, the Corsair ismply rocks.

The climb rate is unbeatable, and I think that is probably one of if not the most important attribute of a fighter.

I just love the look of the late war P51s with polished aluminum, a pretty girl on the nose, a colored spinner and either solid color or checkboard pattern in front of the cockpit.

Just gorgeous

Don't let the markings fool you.

It is an italian bird.

205 I think, has a later moded Damlier Benz engine. DB 605 I think.

My pref is the Bf109F4. Possibly the best of the Bf 109 series as far as all around fighter ability.
