If this is the case then how has 1Pz Gruppe managed to get to Dnepropetrovsk, take it and cross the Dnepr south of Poltava?

Mighty Muzrub will be back in a few nights to continue the fight against both of my worthy foes.

I have not checked either of the games you have sent me but I am interested in seeing this German attack I have heard about, was it a crossing in force?.

But alas tomorrow night I have to go to another strip club and oggle women with my mate Ted. It is a hard task but I believe I have the will and abilities to 'pull it off'.
(hhmm just joking)

But once this hard task is completed I shall strike back in furious vengence against all enemies.

I Commissar Muzrub would like to announce the Soviet abandonment of Kiev. We have no further need of this city. It was a brilliant strategic move. German prisoners-deserters are convinced that the Soviet Union will triumph and have assisted us in details concering German strengths and weaknesses.

The Soviet Airforce has also forced the Luftwaffe to divert planes from the front to defend oil fields. This is proof of growing German insecurity.

It is obvious that marxist bullyboy Muzrub spends too much time in the red light district of Moscow.
The retreat from Kiev came too late and superior german armoured units have cut supply to over 15+ armies located west of Kharkov and Kursk. Will this be the greatest encirclement(?) in recorded history?
Meanwhile 4Pz Gruppe overran weak soviet defence in the north and have captured the rail nexus on the moscow/leningrad/demyansk line and shattered the HQ there resulting in 600+ sov air losses in a week that netted over 1500 sov planes lost.

Does the 'mighty' muzrub 'fiddle'(hehe) while Rome burns.

Strippers, many schooners of beer and flu viruses have lead to a serious error in judgement by Comrade Stalin.
Commissar Muzrub will now have to take control and try to save the few troops that are defending Mother Russia in what I call the "Players-Sante-fe Gold' pocket. We will rise again under Mighty Muzrub, until then Stalin will be shot and we shall continue to trick the Hitlerites deeper into Mother Russia!.

Well Ed,we who playes against the "Mighty" Muzrub would give him the same rating as Hitler has in the game.He is more focused on the beer and titts than the war!

Leningrad defences will crumble while wandering unstopable PanzerKorps keep cutting off rail lines far to the EAST. Yes I marvel at the wonders of this PZ Korps that went due east to cut off supply and then retreated. But I am sure you will achieve the results you wished when you attack Leningrad. I see you have not made a frontal assault on my Leningrad defences until this mad dash to cut rail lines ( in an empty area between Tikhvin and Vologda ). I'm sure 1 or 2 turns is all you need to shatter my Armies though.

The actual Fuhrer always worried about supporting his flanks, while the new Loki Fuhrer does not.

But I thought we discussed in our set rules at the begining of this little war that no-one would use 'Lorenzo tactics', it was a gentlemens agreement between all 3 players.

I am very dissapointed.

What unstoppable Pz corps are you talking about?
Lorenzo tactics i thought was the use of air supply to keep Pz units in supply behind the lines

A: Not only have i not used ANY air supply in our game but i've never used it in any game.

B: You have no 'line to be behind' from Kalinin to the hex east of Novgorod, nothing that i can see at all.

I would worry about supporting my flanks if there were any soviet units in range to threaten the supply of 4Pz Gruppe. If soviet units were in range i would destroy them or pull back to a less threatened position.
So from what i can see you are saying that i have crossed the bounderies of our agreement because i created then exploited a 180KM wide hole in the soviet line that you seem to have made NO effort to close. The FULL strength Pz corps went into harms way and put itself into zero supply in the move made and now limps back into supply.

I'm sorry if you see my actions this way as i try to be 'historical' in my moves and did not feel that 4Pz Gruppe stretched that. A daring move but not beyond a daring commander(did'nt Patton do the same thing sweeping through france?)
In recompense i will cease attacking 'round Leningrad and leave the units there to defend. It will be mine next year anyway.(hehe)
Also 4Pz Gruppe will pull back to the demyansk area ASAP and join a solid front that you desire so the question of flanks will not come up again.
These magnaminous acts i will implement in full confidence that they will have vitually no effect on the surety of the comming destruction of your land forces and the end of the vapid soviet state under the command of Premier Muzrub.

If all that is not satisfactory i will happily send you the turn from before the move so we can play it again with new conditions. I save all turns from all games. We are here to have fun.

PS Who is this 'actual fuhrer' person you mentioned? The 3rd Reich and it's political cronies vannished with the formation of the AesiReich. OKW and OKH are in my total thrall and are at last being used to their full potential.

In the para/worlds fighting the VarjagerWar and MuzrubWar the Reich has been taken over by the Trickster Loki and the gods of the Aesir to cement their hold on the mortal world.
Loki always planned that the eastern war would stretch into '42 or '43 at the latest so the full force of the AesiReich could then be used to blunt and then turn the forces of the west from their goal. By late '44 no allied plane will be seen over England and its transport and war making infrastructure will be in ruins. For Loki is not so stupid as the little corporal to declare war on the US. Thus delaying US entry into the war by at least a year or two, if ever.

(thus i dream of a game on the scale of Wir that covers the whole world. Ah well, one day.)

I agree.

It was defended but as a stalling measure (until more Army 'shells' could be sort for all of them were used on other areas of the map), but you shattered or captured the Army in question and destroyed the HQ with its planes and reserve troops.

If you dont use the oppotunity to capture or destroy the defences at leningrad fine.

But:
1 now they lack supply and whatever readiness they had.
2 It will take another turn before supply returns to my now feable units and then the units I had to move north will have to go back from whereever they came.

All in all its an annoying tactic...especialy when your opponent does it with the idea of just leaving the hex anyway. So whats the point!.

I made and error in the south which I am sure I will pay for. But would you have attacked Leningrad if I never complained?.
Not that it matters the damage has been done to those units.

What was the point of attacking a location without holding it??
With those few words you have made invalid all strategic bombing campaigns, interdiction attacks, tactical air strikes, special forces ops, raids, recon, flying columns, the entire concept of nuclear war(which was invalid anyway so your right on the nose there).
Taking that hex put a quarter of your front line out of supply, what more need i say??

Yes.. But
Before i even crossed the border on june22 i had no plan to attack Leningrad this year. The reason to put the defenders in the area outofsupply was so i could smash up the defenders and cause soviet troop and tank losses. Taking Leningrad would have been a side issue. Many would say taking the city and its industry should be priority but I am fighting this war and 'my means to an end' will be validated or not at the end.

Muz, i can see your point. Lets keep playing and not worry about it. 4PzGruppe will pull back as stated. To be honest the axis will have had to pull back anyway cause blizzard will come in a while and big bulges invite nasty results if pinched off.
