Correction for OOB

Post by o4r »

105mm Pz Sf IVa

The armour rating should be 50 20 20 30 20 20
Angle is ok

Ammo for 105 should be only around 25 to 35, no HEAT rounds.

Should be available around June 1941, only 2 built and 1 is destroyed. The other return to Germany in October 1941.

The German encyclopedia of German armor in WW2, where I got the info for this particular vehicle, shows an armor rating as follows-FH 30/12, SH 20/0, RH 20/10, T/B 10/90, the superstructure ratings are what was used for turret, since non-turreted, as follows-FT 30/10, ST 20/0, RT 20/10, T/B 10/90. This is what I originally entered, don't know why they are as portrayed now, but that happened often. Ammo was 25 rounds total, from what I've been able to find, the projectiles were similar to that of the 10cm K18, which did in fact fire the 10cm Pzgr. rot, ie HEAT. Achtung Panzer shows different armor ratings, but I went with the Encyclopedia numbers, anything can be dissected ad-nausium, but in the end a decision has to be made!![:D]

As for the date, yes you are correct, but we didn't want hordes of these to be bought, hence the 1949/1949 dates, so it can only be bought in a scenario, not in PBEM, or campaigns, etc. Hope this helps clear up some things?!

You are looking at page 112, should be page 106 of the encycopedia.

112 is for IVb and 106 is for IVa

Huge OOB changes program has been ongoing at SPWAW Depot for about a year now and many changes are being made to correct the OOB's of every nation. In another thread, you asked where we all were. Now you know where, and you know why..
We all own Matrix products, but they stopped contributing to any improvements on SPWAW for financial reasons. The work goes on and is alive and well,(at the Depot).

Nope, I was looking at 106, the IVa??!! There isn't any 50mm rating on P106!!! Interestingly enough, this machine made it's way into SPWAW to begin with, when a German fellow told me of it, he said his grandfather had briefly been assigned to one of them!! Scott Grasse was running the infant stages of what was then Steel Lightning, soon to be SPWAW, and said to go ahead and enter it, even if there were only two built, theyre fun, no?!

Brother if it is not the page then let look at your edition. MY edition is 1999, Reprinted 2000 (twice) Yours??? the published date???

In 1999 edition Page 112 is 10.5cm leFH19/1(Sf) auf Geshutzwagen IVb or Sd Kfz 165/1 and page 106 is 10.5 cm K18 auf Pazner Selbstfahrlafette IVa. The hull and superstructure armour is 50/12 and 50/10 respectively.

Hmm, yes Pg106 is the 10.5 cm K18 auf Panzer Selbstfahrlafette IVa, and 112 is the 10.5cm leFH19/1(Sf) auf Geshutzwagen IVb, however, the armor is 30/12 HF , and 30/10 Super front for the IVa the IVb has 20/12HF, and 20/10 Super front!! My edition is 1978 hardcover, published by Arco. Weird...

Brother did you mix up, I used your version without the b version and Losqualos mod, the graphic of the T34 is ok but when I used the b version, the T-34 turn out to be a BT 7 like hull.

Everything seems normal??
No one reports else seeing wierd Icons?

Did you use MODSWAPPER
or did you just unzip files into your directories???

If you did this you overwrote files and that is why you are seeing wierd things

all mods are designed to to be used with MODSWAPPER "

I have the same picture you have, that why I said that it is a partial page.

I think the different between our is just the data.

My was a pageback re-printed. I have given my older book to my nephew, after I bought the lastest edition. Maybe this is one of the correction data they have done.

Kevin is correct; Matrix will not be doing another OOB revision, but we could really use the input for the Depot OOB Project. Everyone is welcome to participate and bring to light changes that may need to be done, and everyone gets to vote on any changes via polls. Only those changes with a clear majority will be included when the OOB set is released.

Hey since the enhanced OOB was correcting, why wasn't this capture?

We even include acutal scanning of the late 1978 and lastest 1999 printing of the book.....[:D]
