Sounds like you folks are having a good laugh - i'd better play a few times before any PBEM attempts its been a couple of years since I last played - never realised this and Pacific War had such a following, i'm so glad Matrix have updated these pair of classics, my hat off to the people here who've made this happen <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

PS Concerning graphics what is the best format for a Lo/res Map i'm working on so players can trace out he front with a paint programme and post it on the board. I assume it would be .Jpg but you know what happens when you assume.

Update

Bad weather in both the the Muzrub and VarjagerWars brings to an end the successfull '41
campaigns. Axis forces begin to deploy into winter mode.
There is a great sigh of relief from the Kremlin.

Loki warns all that soon a flood ego boosting reports will hit this thread as the puny soviets claim all manner of outlandish victories in the blizzard turns. Be assured that all such will be mostly fantasy as OKW has a solid plan in place.

News from the front:Stavka is proud to let everybody know that the facist invader has been grinded down.Saved as he was by the mud.Red Army is now preparing to free our counrty from the facist dogs(Shepards from som backworth part of Bavaria no dout).Soon the blizzards will start and we will kick the liar Lokis ass all the way back to Berlin and then he will be hanged from the reichstag just for fun!

Soviet officers are dry and very warm at STAVKA HQ. Commissar lackey Varjager is blowing enough hot air to heat the Kremlin as well.
Indeed Demyansk was captured and Kursk abandoned. As much was expected by OKW.
In this 3rd week of soviet blizzard attacks German strength and moral is excellent. So good in fact that they are attacking!!
The Sov 21st army near Novgorod and the tank heavy 27th army near Vyasma were thrown back with serious losses by elite german INFANTRY Corps.

What need has Loki for slippery soviet style propaganda.

WINTER!

Premier Mighty Muzrub leader of the Soviet Union after the execution of Stalin has announced a ceasation to the criminal Loki's advance into Mother Russia.

He has reconfigured the battle lines and given much needed support to all Soviet troops fighting on our Western front.

Comrade Mighty Muzrub also believes that we can mount an offensive this comming winter though our losses have been great. This offensive will be the first of many that will only end in Berlin.
