I split my flats to cover both invasions, and wanting to strike hard at Marcus shouls Z appear.. I AM STILL STEAMING MAD that my fleat split and a straggler got hit! second carrier looks like toast too!.. 2 cv to 2 cve bad exchange!
My troops continue to poor into Luzon, Z made an ineffectual kami raid hitting one small ship...I hold too, see pix below, Manilla which he holds, and hold Loage and LAmon Bay.. Soon MAnilla will fall. and we will be hitting Clark... it really hurts to be pounded turn after turn by air power .. and those troops are not getting on transports and sailing for homeeither... I estamate over 100k JAp troops in Island.. Z has done a Great Job all bases are at fort lever 9...
I still have yet to take Palambangobob[:@], my reservess trickle in from Borneo and Singapore... Even My troops from Oz are doing better than this,, not that they are bad troops, just lower experience and fewer

Note above the troops from Oz are those in the area next to OZ taking caeof JAp remaining SRA area..

Marcus will soon have no Japs
Manilla will soon fall, maybe it will last a week
The decision to split my flats, while causing me a difficult to swallow lose in MArcus area
has kept the Luzon Invasion free, so far, from raiders... Loag is still vulnerable, but it will be a functioning base soon
the heavy death ray is off for now, all those heavies now attacking on ground attack, think heavy bomber operation in normandy every day.. Bankok troops, mine, withdrew after situation deemed hopeless .. they will rest and attack again later

After re-reading the 1.5 thread it appears NO out of sequence air upgrades or changes are allowed in pbem games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my Whole reason for being excited about 1.5 just died[&o] actually fixing errors is allways good.. my bubble just burst

OK, now it apears 1.5 NEW games will have an on/off toggle to see this available.. still I do not see any advantage to the US so far as the upgrades seem to dead end and a requirement is.. " that one group must be uprgading to this typr aircraft at some point"

I really want out of all these p40!

Z previosly had an advantage of over 20k, it has shrunk to around 17, and hopefully it will be down to around 10k after th PI campeign..

I hope you can shrink it too. If you can then I have a pretty good chance of beating Blackwatch. If you can't then my chances are less.

Your the test case Freeboy.

We will see, It is another great thing imo that instead of just demoloishing Japan to win, is that not a given? we have both a time line and a point system

Well Yama and sisters showed up at Loaog..:
Naval bombardment of Laoag, at 45,49

Allied aircraft
no flights

Allied aircraft losses
TBM Avenger: 20 destroyed, 38 damaged
Avenger II: 6 destroyed, 9 damaged
F4U-1D Corsair: 3 destroyed, 11 damaged
P-47D Thunderbolt: 19 destroyed, 23 damaged
SB2C Helldiver: 7 destroyed, 10 damaged
P-40N Warhawk: 8 destroyed, 11 damaged

Japanese Ships
CL Natori
CL Isuzu
CA Kinugasa
CA Chikuma
BB Fuso
BB Mutsu
BB Nagato

Allied ground losses:
1617 casualties reported
Guns lost 53

Airbase hits 20
Airbase supply hits 10
Runway hits 132

but two are down and a third is cripple.. missed the twins though!

I guess he missed the flats near there!
Iowa is chasing Yama home! each has bombarded,.. it wouldbe andinteresting batle, but I think the twins are long gone.. Loaog being held by allies really screws up the Japs as is is a level five .. and I am uping it to a six... Seems most of the airbase hits damaged planes.. and little dam to airbase

Manilla stands, but for how long?
No idea how much longer He has in PI, I keep adding planes and supplies, tanks and troops but he seems unwilling to die gracefully[:-]

Anybody think I should invade China?

and these guys need some practice!:Day Air attack on TF at 46,45

Allied aircraft
TBM Avenger x 72

Allied aircraft losses
TBM Avenger: 16 destroyed, 49 damaged

Japanese Ships
BB Fuso, Torpedo hits 5, on fire, heavy damage
BB Nagato
BB Mutsu

IOWA AT THE BOTTUM

Iowa nad nearly the intire surfase task force was sunk by torpedo and kamikazi attack as the bewilderdered us Cap pilots got lost, in all 153 cap pilots face courts martial and summery exection for this serious breach, FDR asked for Admiral Kimmil, of PH ingffamy, to head up a special; panal to investigate this most recent disaster.

And in other news Manilla dropped anouther fortification level, I am surprised it is still standing , must have had well over 1000 sorties this last week alone against it

This AAR is damn interesting.

If you guys get some time, i would enjoy to know what happened in the first 3 years: what japan conquered, what plan followed, where they have been stopped, where allies started attacking, when and so on.

it would help a lot to understand what is going now.

Well I went to the normal conquest of Japan and stopped there. Tried for PM but was stopped and took Baker in late 42 to kill some troops. Then I set in to defend the HI. He advanced in NG and I moved troops out so I would not get trapped and left airbases if they started to get pounded.

How great that was. He loses like 10 to 15 planes a day to ops by flying all of those planes[:D]

JAps pull out of Bankok against no opisition! in a daring retreat the forces of Emperor runs like a rabbit are hurrying back towards?.. must have read the AAR and seen all those nice pre invasion pictures of coastal China... in PI Apari was taken against no troops as his troops majically leaped over my forces at Loaog, after suffering a retreat they moved into next JAp base on coast... a new surfase fleet is assembling.. poor bastards on the last one!...
MArcus is not up to speed, and the troops there are getting ready for anew attack...
a new death star is also being assembled... the Emperor will be pleased[X(]

Hey guys, I want to see this kind of attack in this AAR. A jpg file, the combat report of that attack...whatever. But not only "the Iowa was sunk today by Kami attack".
What plane, where, how many????

This AAR is so interesting[:'(]

Yes, I'd also love to see what a kamikaze attack looks like in the AAR. Does it say "Day Kamikaze Attack on TF"? If you have the time to cut and paste that AAR, that'd be great!
