1939 Scenario? Please

Post by sveint »

I would really really like to see a 1939 Scenario. Would this be possible?

I had a look at the files and this seems easy to do. Will have a go at it myself.

Here's the problem you're going to have: getting the Soviets to unfreeze, take Polish territory, then re-freeze so that they can't attack Germany. I suppose you could have a scenario where the Soviets stay frozen and never get those territories, but that's not a 1939 scenario, just an Axis fantasy.

Don't mean to be discouraging, just want you to know one of the major obstacles to having a 1939 scenario.

Alternatively, just make eastern poland russian from the start. If it's going to be given to russia anyway, what is the difference?

Just make it so eastern poland goes russian as soon as Warsaw falls. Also make it so if Germany invades eastern poland, Russia unfreezes and attacks Germany.

I had a look at the configuration files evaluating this option, but it did not seem easy to do if at all possible. Worth a try though.

First version is done. No real way to partition poland so I gave Eastern Poland to Russia from the start (frozen of course). Alot of other nifty things could be done... feedback welcome.
