Op-Fire from Sardinia?

just wondering if I put any artillary pieces in Sardinia will it cause Op-Fire to allied ships if they try come in from Gilbraltor.

yes, I've tested this and it works. however a BB ship is unlikely to get ahit to a single artillery piece, but the light fleets will usually get damaged.

remember that the ship has to pass from gibraltor to the west med to the central med for this to occur. if they stop in the west med, then no op-fire occurs and they can move out of the west med next turn again with no op-fire.

hm, so I just tested going from that sea zone west of Gilbralter to W. Med, or Central Med and no Op-fire occurred. Just interdiction points I think (yellow circle?). So it will only happen if hes based his fleet in Gilbralter FIRST and then tried to go east?

ooops I'm sorry. I should have mentioned, you need aircraft there, not artillery.

artillery only op-fires from narrows (or against amphib landings).
