From fall 40 to Winter 41 in one turn????

When I pushed end phase it sayed fall 40 then it instantly become winter 41. What did happen? Bug?

Winter is the first turn of every year.

When you think about it, it is actually correct. Winter (in the Northern Hemispere) doesn't even begin until December 21st or 22nd. That leaves about 9 or 10 days of winter in December and the rest of the 3 months (Jan., Feb, and most of Mar.) in the first quarter of the year. So really, winter is the first season of the year, then spring, summer, and fall at the end. Just because It starts snowing in October and doesn't end until April, doesn't mean that is the official season.

that threw me off too.

I think its because we always think of christmas and new years as winter and new years is the end of the year.
