I have almost reached Siagon.. and it looks like Island Vietnam, with most of the area immediatley outside controled by Allies, inc luding Chineese at the border...

In PI MAnilla still holding on... Palamband fort level dropping.. I keep pumpoing in troops.. these guys gotta crack.. it is Sept 2nd 44 I moved one deat ray attack to Wenchow.. found some more palnes to kill, soon nothing will be left in 24 range...
I think a large unescorted 29 raid is probably a bad idea at this time, at least a daylight raid...
Iwo was bombed by carrier based planes yesterday, in preperation for landings by the 6th US marines, suppoerted by outr new friends the Force HQ Amphib.. thanks BRADY

I also amd advancing overland.. but of course into Clark as a group, as all my smaller units have been sent packing by a larg force there....

multiple hits multiple ships...

Manilla and Palambangobob still in Jap hands.. the first of several divisions reached clarck.. somehow ahead of the vangard trailing it oops, it probably will be attacked, and as it is fatigued from the travel it probably will be sent back one hex

while the "turn" report loses where much lower, Z still took ALLOT of a5 losses// well over 100 . I was surprised by this , as I did nmot expect to find much there!
MAnilla gets pounded again, and Palambang drops to level four.. My first probing units, which have met zero resistance are at the gates of Saigon, where a large jap concentration is repotedly dug in!

Iwo got pounded by air and sea.. anouther few rounds of this and we will move on..

it is the first week of September and I hope by the end to hold all PI and to be well along in the next invasion prep cycle

Another turn another pounding , Palambang is going down.. as is manilla and the troops all entered Clark together today.. They will rest for a few.. but they are effectively sealing the retreat rout for MAnilla.. II do not think that supplies move between Clark and Manilla when both are contested either!...

Iwo was pounded again
Another large jap tf spotted in northeastern Chineese waters...

I amclose to cutting Vietnam in half... Iwo fleets repossitioning..
nice that Marcus finally came up to a four, I moved some heavies in and they can reach Iwo if needed...

The thingsthat dsurprised me was, aftyre walking over Z in SRA, how really hard 200K dug in troops are in MAnilla... I could have done a better job... and am now getting a good mix of troops.. but I also thought ALL my reserve army from Borneo and JAva would be release by or before 081544

Palambang falls! only 3 weeks late!... Those troops cannot retreat as all surronding hex have been touched... they are in the fight and die zone, but my troops need a rest badly.. nothing new.. iwo gets a break for a few as my ships replace lost planes....
People reading this should realize I am Way behind in points!.. just under 18 k behind zeta16.. something like 49k to 31k as the Jap troops in PB and PI are overrun and surrender it will help, plus the points for those important bases.
If I can isolate and destroy troops in coastal china that would also be nice, but I am not counting on that.. I do however have two rested armies, out of four... the reserves are dead tired in PB, but the newly renamed Vietnam area force in Bankok is well rested..
troops in PI are shot... and troops in MArcus Zone are fresh and eager

Lots of Dead JAps in Palambang this turn.. and my troops disruptions seem to stay low.. so we are shock attacking again there..

MAnilla nad Clark are a beast.. I just cannot seem to add enough to getthe troops at Manilla to crumble, although Clark seems to be easier.. after Clark falls, if MAnills still is in JAp hand we will add troops there.. I am loath to take troops from my fresh and rested army in Vietnam area.. but may need to Borrow some troops....

Ok, its now mid Sept.. I have reduced Clark and Maniulla, but they obviously have supplies as they are not being crushed... Palambang is loosing Jap troops who cannot retreat..
Seems Z is retreating from Siagon, they must really be hurting for supplies in that area.. me too as all my stuff has gone to MArcus and PI.. or previously to Palambang

I am moving troops out of Bankok, as they are needed, and hopefully they will be fresh enough to do some good, I also saw two new groups at Karachi in the last few weeks.. troops glorious troops.. fresh, high moral and low disruption!..

My air war is in a low, Z has taken most groups out of coastal china near PI, and withdrawn as far as Shanghi.. It is beleived that his CV/BB groups may be hiding in Korea

Iwo continues to be hit hard by the DS and a large BB force...

upcoming releases.. new b29 groups, some new carriers.. both US and Brit, and some new BB's.. lets try to keep these alive this round shall we?

If I had already destroyed Palambang forces.. I would have moved those troops already... it really screws with your timetables when things go south...PI, which was to be completely cleared by 09 31 44, now has a clear all jap date of 10 20 44.. Iwo we are in no hurry to attack.. it is only getting weaker and we need all our invasion forces at 100 planning.. the fisrt force HQ's arrived... in the area

China is a beast because I did not get my replacement troops and way back Z surronded a very large group and killed them.. and while 1.5 will fix this going forward I have permenently lost those troops....
I may be in a situation after PI falls to pick where to attack...All I see are Lots of troops
in my areas

great ?.. I want to take Iwo soon, then basing some 24's and 29 and p38s start some firs and watch and see.. I think the invasion of the home Islands will be after the liberation of lesser targets.. but maybe.. seems that if I am having problems in PI, how hard would the home Islands be?.. I also have to remember that Z has a large BB and CV fleet...
until they die I am not going anywhere neer the HI.. After you start to bomb JApan proper, his air has a chioce.. fight and die or flee to Korea.. after we see what he does I will be better able to answer your ?

>?'s are very welcome!

The follow up raids should also net a good harvest of destroyed planes on the ground.. and we plan to reduce the port to nothingness, as well as any thing else.. hi etc
this shows how far Z has retreated:
