technical question

Hang with me. I am a total dummy on a PC.

I download without a problem, install without a problem, but cannot get the game to run.

I always get a message:

"This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut....."

I assume it is a Windows/DOS conflict and have tried, in my simple way, to stumble through a DOS startup and windows to no avail.

Any BASIC advice or comments are appreciated.

Hard to say without additional info.
Do you do that like this:
open WiR folder
double click on wir program icon
?

WHat is your PC? What is your operational system(win95/98/2000/NT?)?Do you run the game in window mode or full screen mode? There may be a problem with window mode.

Appreciate the quick response.

I got it to work on my PC at home... The PC at work was giving me the problem -- I think it had something to do with our Novell network crap interferring with DOS.

But who knows, certainly not me (?)
