I want to add a rail line in the crimean peninsula. How in the world does the map editor work?

Press C to get the charachter set. Each terrain tile is numbered from 0 and up from left to right in each row. So first row is 0-15, second row 16-31 and so on. The numbers are not displayed, you have to manually count.

So, put the cursor over the hex you want to change, then press C to find the number of the tile you want to put there, then press any key to make the tile set go away and go back to the map. Now press T and enter the number of the new tile. Voila!

OR...

You can download my modified map and scenarios which includes this very change. The scenarios do not take advantage of Rich's new graphics, so you'd have to do that change manually with WIREDIT.

You can find them
