Luzon for Battles in Normandy Available

Battles In Normandy is the third game in the Decisive Battles game series. Battles in Normandy recreates all aspects of the Normandy campaign, from the landings on the first day to the final climax of the campaign at Falaise. Strategic Studies Group rewrote the Decisive Battles game engine for Battles in Normandy with a host of new special rules for amphibious and airborne operations, plus a huge number of other enhancements.

Luzon for Battles in Normandy Available

Post by Rob Gjessing »

We have released a new scenario for Battles in Normandy - its called Luzon and it examines the Japanese Invasion of Luzon in 1941. There are 3 scenarios in this release -the historical scenario, a free landing scenario and a what if scenario based around MacArthur having more freedom to prepare for the invasion.

The scenario is available from the SSG website - along with a whole lot more of other goodies for the DBWWII Series.
Isn't that bizarre?

Wow, going to download this one right away. For anyone who doesn't know, the SSG site at www.ssg.com.au is the best resource online for the DBWWII series.

OK, now you've done it. I have to buy this game now. [8D] Seriously, I enjoyed KP and have been planning to buy BiN anyway -- just busy with GGWaW and WITP at the moment.

I think GGWaW is a blast! I've played several games against the AI, and I'm now finishing my first PBEM, which has been especially fun. The game is more complex than it looks. It also does a very nice job with naval/air war; the war in the Pacific plays out in a plausible fashion. I like the fact that the navy isn't abstracted, in the manner of "Third Reich" and some other grand strategy games. All in all, a big thumbs-up from me.
