Finally I get night bombing run on Tokyo to fly, and my DAY run fails! ok, 50 fires started from a raid out of MArcus.. long rang.. 150 strategic points! only damaged bombers
I am putting up my forces again from Iwo, Tokyo seems to want to live as Z transfered in more fighters and I had no raid, graounded for weather one guesses... so if they fly, daylight, out of Iwo expect 200 plus 38's escorting 300 24's and 100 plus 29's
Another base falls behind the retreating Japs..
Soon we will have another invasion..

Do you have any level 7 airfields in range for b29's?

Can you reach home islands from Clark? B-29's want level 7 airfields (i'm sure you know that) .. Marianas are good for that purpose, you can't attatch escorts but night bombing will be fine. You can also risk day missions by putting lots and lots of fighters on escort on Iwo Jima and having no offensive missions flown nearby. They might join the B-29 strikes, but i don't know how sure you can be about it.

Actgually B29s fly at lower than7 with a penmelty.. I hate risking unescorted missions.. I remember when the fighters where grounded and hundreds of bombers fell to there doom!.. So I will continue for now to use Iwo... it has 24;s too.. and 38's...
Sounds like a querterback at the line of scrimage.. "set 38 red 24 blue 29 hut hut..."

Many lb groups standing down.. if they are Reducing the effects my air has in 1.5 good luck.. Bataan will fall.. forgot to turn off the move all from manilla, .. I had to use this to getsome units to move... strange game..
then the next turn you setthose units that you wantto stay to defend.. oops.. ok, so Clark now has fewer troops.. that is easily remeidied.. and 15k assault at Battaan should kill some old worne out defenders in my base hex!

Bombers had a well deserved rest today we decide to burn down Tokyo.. If I destroy Tokyo, it has like 3000 industry including manppower and resources.. at 20 points a pop that is 60k just for one city.. maby I am not readingthe rules correctly but OUCH
I am pretty sure we passed 9k headed towards 8 k in the points.. soon we shhould be even and I will finally get ahead......
