VCR in a 3-person game?

Post by Grotius »

I have no trouble using the VCR in a two-person PBEM game. In single player, though, or in my current three-person PBEM, it doesn't work right. I see the "frame slider," but the play/pause/forward buttons are missing -- it's like that part of the VCR interface is transparent or not fully loaded or something.

Am I doing something wrong?

In my experience this happens after much Alt-Tabbing and/or going in and out of different WaW games without ever exiting the program. If I exit the program and then bring up the VCR controls, it's back to normal. We have not been able to pin down the root cause of this problem. Until we do, if this happens to you, you need to save the game, exit the program and restart to get your controls back. If this doesn't work, then there is an even bigger problem we don't know about.

Thanks for the quick reply, Joel. That would help explain it; I do a fair amount of alt-tabbing to post screenshots and whatnot. I'll try your suggestion and see how it works.
