Sea Supply

Post by Basilhare »

I have read and re-read the supply and convoy rules but still dont quite understand why I can sometimes get sea supply through to my Allied ships in the Med but sometimes the interdiction prevents this:

Situation:
Allies hold Gibraltor and have large fleets in the Med and Atlantic. German subs have moved in (their sub tech has been substantially increased in evasion and torp) and have stationed subs in the Med.

Somtimes I can move supplies into the Med and there is no interdiction and all is well...on other turns, I can not...interdiction shuts the convoys down....Light Fleets cant find the subs do battle (I am actively researching ASW, but am behind in so doing), except on rare ocasion......

What I am getting at is my lack of understanding on interdiction.....given the exact same set up from turn to turn, I get different results...sometimes I can move supplies in without problem but other turns the interdiction is so heavy that I can not???

I have noticed that on turns where you give battle to the subs (win or loose) you can move suplies into the med without interdiction....

Any Ideas would be appreciated...just trying to figure out how the game works....basilhare

Good question. I thought I read somewhere that supply interdiction isn't always working properly, but I'm not at all sure.
