Well you´re the expert Josan, but if the germans are at Velikyie Luki and Leningrad in july you´re in for a nasty autumn.

On the other hand you´re losses are minimal but is it enough to save the soviet union?

Russians attacks have been maked along the front against german panzer korps. The objective: try to get down his efectiveness.
One of our attacks succeed retreating a panzer korps in Vyazma Area.

I dont know Kuniworth but if I lost Moscow at less I will have strong forces (I hope)to do something in blizzard time.My priority as russian always has been preserve the army.

A panzer korps was surrounded in Novgorod sector. The russian attacks against this korps failed miserably. Some units still are waiting the order of attack... <img src="frown.gif" border="0">

But the VVS strikes back!!! The airports of 11th Army were heavily bombed destroying 205 aircrafts in the ground.

Another Pz korp and one infantry isolated because bad coordination. Damn!
Leningrad isolated by railroad. The soviet forces retreat after the river.

Soviet Turn 8/31/41

A german panzer korps and an infantry korps were surrounded in the Rzhev-Demyansk sector. Once again the attacks to surrender the korps failed.
Some generals has been called to the Stavka for a "special treatment" <img src="tongue.gif" border="0">

The Stavka informs Stalin that all ucranian factories were transfered to the Urals succesfully.

Stalin notifies to Churchill that, even with the loss of the capital, the soviet people will never surrender, and will fight the fascist invaders from the Urals if is needed.

Front line(aprox) : Leningrad (isolated by land but supplied)- Demyansk-Rzhev-3 hexes of Moscow-Tula-Voronezh-Rostov.

The Panzers reach the gates of Moscow at the first week of September! (totally historic, as everyone can see). And launch the first attack against the capital, which resist.
Rezhv and Rostov resist assaults. Voronezh falls.

2 armies surrender, 5 shattered (2 were strong), 4 dummy destroyed.

three weeks into barbarossa and army group north have taken pskov 14000 russians surrender in the north.
in the centre von bock takes mogilev 29000 russians surrender.
in the south von runedstedt captures 91000 russians and takes zhitomir .
the russian airforce has dissapeared along with the red army??

The german forces that cutted off the rail line Leningrad-Moscow were surrounded. In the pocket there are 3 panzer korps and 1 infantry korps <img src="cool.gif" border="0">

We still hold the german pressure over Moscow and Rostov but each week is more stronger the attacks...

A requirement to Arnaud : is there no possibility to have rain in september? <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0">

Third week of September, 41. And third assault against Moscow.

Bloody fights in Moscow. The Lutwaffe and the Air Red Force fights heavily, but Lutwaffe bombs the red airports, destroying the bombers on ground. Slowly, the panzers take positions around Moscow.

The column isolate at the east of Demiansk has supply now. But still is danger.

Kalinin has fallen.

The Panzers advance to Stalingrad!

Against all possibilities, Moscow still resists! All Lutwaffe attacks this heroic garrison!

The Pzs are at 3 hexes from Stalingrad!

Resist Rostov and Leningrad. Fails a try to cut the supply line of Leningrad. Surely the weak Pz korp will be surrounded and anhilated.

Hitler is furious! Now, all depends of the weather of October...

At less the panzer korps who tried to arrive to the rail-line to leave Leningrad out of supply were surrendered. The Blue Division and Branderburg Motorized are going now to a nice gulag, where a nice guys are waiting them for a nice special reeducation <img src="tongue.gif" border="0">
