Hi,Orders
Dec 8 1941
From: IHQ
To:Vice Admiral Nikademus
Subject: Assignment to Command
Admiral,
1. You are promoted to Full Admiral
2. You will assume command of the Moblie Strike Force
3. You will assume command SouthEastern Fleet and all forces assigned to bases belonging to that command.
Truk/Kwajalean/Wake and all bases within the commands HQ from those bases.
Orders
Seek out and Destroy all enemy forces you can obtain contact with and have the means to destroy. HQ not under your command will provide logistcal support you are not to worry about improving bases or providing garrisons other then those assigned to you for that purpose. Your assault formations are for the purpose of reducing enemy positions not garrisons.
Units assigned to you will arrive at Truk or other bases under your control with objectives selected. You many reassign objectives before or after you secure them however you will insure that your primary objectives as secured as soon as possible. You will always be required to provide both air and naval support to operations in your sectors.
The Moblie Strike Force may be from time to time called on to provide support to operations in other areas. It will remain under your control. The maintenance of your airgroups will be provided for by Higher HQ. You will be required to provide sufficent advance notice of Port of Call so logistics can be arranged. You are authorized to draw pilots as required however replacement of aircraft must be approved and when sufficent trained pilots are not on hand Higher HQ will arrange transfer of suitable replacements.
A Mavis Flying Boat is standing by to transport you. Put the freaking beer down and get to work.
I'm not retreating, I'm attacking in a different direction!
Military MP's eventually tracked down Admiral Nik-san and found him passed out in a Geisha bar. He was quickly hauled off, cleaned up, read his orders from the CiC (twice for clarity) and then escorted to a launch that would take him to the Flagship Akagi.
Admiral Nik-san was reputed to have said....."<hic> that aintsh my flagship....my <hic>flagschip has three flight deks."

Hi, Had a Mavis flying boat actually been shot down we might have a dispute but the poor VMF on Wake is the group that no longer exists. (Well they will be existing on the Rangoon to Bangkok railroad driving spikes and laying ties)
I'm not retreating, I'm attacking in a different direction!
BB Pennsylvania, Bomb hits 5, Torpedo hits 3, on fire, heavy damage
Hi, She sank. So far I have made this attack 3 times with the same file(TJ/Erik and now here) in each game 1 BB has sunk and it has yet to be the same BB. (Maryland and Arizona in the other 2) Of course in each game the Allied player has been allowed to give orders in China so the files are not exactly alike when the combat is run.
1 more game to start (whew) Dan (U2) my old friend wants a go at it too.
I'm not retreating, I'm attacking in a different direction!
Marines based at Wake Island held their own in a desparate fight against rediculous odds giving Japan a bloody nose. 5 ships were seen fleeing the scene of the crime with heavy smoke rising from their decks. Obviously Admiral Nik planned this as Japanese losses elsewhere were slight. [:'(]

How fitting, my ex-wife is from Pennsylvania ... somehow it just felt right watching that one go down. Had it been anything else, I might have actually cared. [:D]
wrong Captain Canadian.......Admiral nik left the turn 1 orders to Yammy. I was too busy puking out over the side of the Akagi during that rough northern Pacific crossing.
Admiral Nik-san has yet to ever not take Wake on turn 1.

So the squabbling begins already eh? At this rate, I will not even have to fight the war. (pictures of Nik and Mogami pointing at each other saying "He did it")
Still waiting for a turn so I can sink the rest of your ships ... quit debating who's in command and mail it!
