Any suggestions please?

Post by sabreman1966mcs »

I have just started Scenario 8 under 1.50 and up until tonight it has been behaving itself [:)] Tonight however, all of a sudden during combat resolution all the phase determination, sighting reports and CAP/ASW reports that would have appeared in the main window and the lower window failed to show up. It is also odd, and probably unrelated, that I got my first CTD when saving the turn as well [:(] It's very odd that I never got them under any of the prior versions.

Has anyone else experienced the disappearing texts and have any suggestions for fixing it? I'm not too worried about the CTD as, hopefully, it was a one-off [;)]

Kill spyware, do disk cleanup, defrag, reboot.

When I have "combat animations turned off", then very little text appears during the turn's run. When I hit "combat animations turned on", all the text appears.

I got a crash to desktop tonight when I attempted to save tonight too. There don't seem to be any other ill effects of the crash though.

Count to 5 SLOWLY after saving then exit the screen. Some machines seem to have very slow hard drives and the delay is just not long enough so you are trying to jump off the save screen before the save has finished.

ORIGINAL: irrelevant

Kill spyware, do disk cleanup, defrag, reboot.

I had launched the game from a clean reboot anyway and after my usual Sunday PC chores (defrag,Spyware & Trojan search).

I normally have them turned off anyway, just to speed things along a little and it has never occured in the past.

Hopefully, it will be fixed when I fire it up later [;)]
