Hi everyone,

Good news. Alex just sent me final verification on the updated patch and full download. We should have both available tomorrow. I will post here and in the main forum when they are online.

If you purchased the digital download version, just go to http://www.findmyorder.com and re-download the updated full installer once it's online. If you prefer, you can simply download and apply the patch (which will also work for owners of the previous 2000 release) which now includes the previously missing files.

Again, more news tomorrow but I wanted to let you know these are incoming and apologize for any inconvenience caused by the tutorial glitches.

So I guess no joy on the random CTDs then, eh?

I havent been able to get through a full game yet and I have a pretty vanilla system.

At any rate, are there any gameplay changes or just bug fixes (and do any of them affect gameplay)?

Joe,

You should try the new versions once posted. I don't know if they'll help but they will be the new baseline for testing. Alex is looking into the CTD reports, but has not been able to duplicate so far.

Hi everyone,

The online store how has the updated v1.40c full installer. Please uninstall your current version, download this updated full installer (you can do that via www.findmyorder.com) and let us know how it works for you. This should fix all the tutorial-related issues and allow tutorials to run properly from the first installation and first player/campaign creation.

A v1.40c comprehensive patch for all previous versions from the 2000 release forward will also be posted later tonight.

I just uninstalled and re-downloaded the game. The main screen still just says 1.4, not 1.4c. Note that the Installer says 1.40c:

The file name for the installer just downloaded is:

ReachForTheStars-SetupReleaseDR-v140c.exe

(I just tested the tutorial and is still crashes at the combat part).

I'm guessing this is still the old version with the new installer.

When will the patch 1.40c be available (only 1.40b appears in game d/l section)?

Can I run patch on my copy of 1.40 (downloaded last week over three days)?
