Are there torpedo bombers in it?

I had Pacific Fighters and sold it becuas ehtere was a severe lack of torpedo bombers when I regard them as pretty essential when fighting over one of the largest expanses of water in thw world.

If torpedo bombers are present in this expansion, I may get Pacific Fighters again.

Just a couple of question about this addon and TLD. Like there is soon a new patch for IL2/PF, who will introduce new FM for the user planes, and will give for AI planes, a more realistic FM, because until now AI plane have a very simple FM. Is this addon will be fully compatible with the futur 4.0 version of PF ?
BTW i ask this question also for case blue or TLD.

Like Banzai is only a campaign and mission addon, i think it will not add any new planes for PF, so if you think that there is not, or not enough torpedo bombers in PF, it's not Banzai who will correct this problem.

But honestly PF is at this time with FB, the best WW2 air-sim with much of other qualities, and the lack of torpedo bomber is not a real problem for anyone who like this kind of game.

Yep, Kate, Betty, TBF Avenger, as well as plenty of other planes.

X1 Software will have to answer the question of compatibility with the future patch, though in the past they've been very good about keeping up with such things.

I asked them for status on this yesterday and was told that it is coming along and will be available soon. As soon as I have a more precise date, I'll post here.

So how did they manage to secure the rights to these aircraft when that was the excuse used by Oleg and his cronies...that the rights were being withheld..

Sounds like what I suspected the problem was in the first place. Forced to release before all content was there, with promises of content being added obly to be pushed onto another project before promised content could be delivered!![:@]

Ok, let me clarify - I'm going by what's in the Banzai! manual as I'm not much of a flight simmer myself these days. If this sounds like it's too good to be true, it may be best to wait for the official word from X1 or one of the flight sim fans on our staff. Here's what's listed in the manual for planes:

Further clarification is needed. The torpedo bombers...kate and avenger are in the original game...you cannot pilot them. My understanding is this expansion is strictly a scenario/campaign add on not an aircraft add on which will come when and if maddox games gets around to releasing the patch.

I didn't appear to me that there were any new missions (or careers) for the IJN (Imperial Japanese Navy) -- which, considering the title of this add-on, seems very strange to me. I've always been under the impression that the Japanese Navy was pretty involved in the Pacific in WWII.

Yes that was my impression as well. but there seems to be a serious lack of any interesting japanese missions, and none for the kate at all, what gives? Am I mistaken or were there kates at pearl harbor?

I think what we got here, is the mission/campaigns for the JP side are listed under the IJA and not under the IJN folder

if the question about the Kates is real, Yes there were Kates at PH, both in a Trop role and as level bombers
